Restorative Yoga

A contemplative practice using multiple props to totally support the body, enabling the release of mind and body tension passively.

Protocol Anatomy

Restorative Yoga is the ultimate practice for nervous system regulation. Using bolsters, blankets, and blocks, the body is arranged in comfortable, supported postures held for 5 to 20 minutes. The objective is down-regulation—shifting the body from the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) to the parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) nervous system. It is a profoundly healing practice, highly recommended for stress recovery, sleep disorders, and managing chronic fatigue.

Clinical & Holistic Benefits

  • Radically downregulates the nervous system
  • Helps alleviate chronic stress and insomnia
